Celebrating Coffee and Adventure
A coffee book born from the love of caffeine and adventure.
My Role
capturing and editing photos, coordinating with models, leading adventures, and preparing the final product for print.
Objective
I created this book to celebrate outdoor adventure and inspire people to appreciate the joy of coffee—not just for its own sake, but as a catalyst that encourages us to get out and explore more.
Timeline
The shooting for this project took place over two months, followed by two intermittent weeks of editing and formatting to complete the book.
Tools and Tech
For this project, I utilized full-frame cameras, a drone, a 24-70mm lens, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Bridge, Illustrator, and standard Google Suite tools for planning and execution.
Reflections
Creating this book was a wonderful experience, and I’m proud of the images captured. However, looking back, I realize the project could have benefitted from a stronger ideation process. While coffee beautifully complements the outdoors and has widespread appeal, I felt the final product lacked practical utility. If I were to revisit this project, I would explore a more challenging concept, such as “adventure lunch,” which could offer both aesthetic appeal and practical value for those looking to enhance their outdoor experiences.
