Play Underwater Hockey

An experiment in building a brand from scratch by leveraging social media marketing.

Why?

Because People Should Know About it.

I believe in the power of social media and want to understand it from the ground up, including the analytics that drive it. Underwater hockey, with its lack of coverage and potential to go viral when properly showcased, is the perfect testing ground. My goal is to uncover what makes underwater hockey compelling to a broader audience and then teach those insights to others I recruit to help grow the sport. Effective marketing for underwater hockey is virtually non-existent online, and I aim to change that because this sport is incredible and deserves to be shared with the world.

My Role

My role is to leverage all of my creative and interpersonal skills to grow this page as efficiently as possible by producing high-quality content and recruiting passionate talent equally dedicated to sharing the excitement of underwater hockey with the world.

Objective

To make underwater hockey known and exciting, while discovering the tools and strategies to promote any subject in the future. Additionally, to inspire the community to support this level of marketing for their sport by highlighting the value of bringing more attention to the recreation they love.

Tools and Tech

For this project, I will primarily use social media, analytics tools, Canva, Premiere, Photoshop, Adobe Bridge, Illustrator, Adobe Fresco, Google Suite, YouTube, Instagram, my full-frame underwater camera setup, and screen grabs of low-quality footage from the internet.
